Block paving driveways in Warrington

Block paving driveways, paths and borders, laid by a family firm with over 30 years in the trade.

What's involved

We start by digging out the old surface and soil to the right depth, so the new drive sits at the correct level against the house and pavement.

A compacted sub-base goes in next. This is the part you never see, and it is what stops a drive sinking or rutting years later.

Edging kerbs are set in concrete around the outside. They hold the blocks tight and give you the border course that finishes the drive.

The blocks are laid on a screeded sand bed, cut neatly at the edges and around any drains or manholes.

Finally we brush in kiln-dried sand and compact the whole surface so the joints lock together.
